For an adapted and specialized version of the signature CloudTec® technology, On Running used Finite Element Analysis (FEA), to simulate how each component reacts while running. On Running created the optimal midsole for a seamless weight transfer from heel to toe. It's called CloudTec Phase® and it introduces a new age of cushioning. In CloudTec Phase®, the computer-optimized Clouds seamlessly collapse like dominos when your foot lands. The result? Supreme, enhanced cushioning, and a softer, smoother transfer from heel to toe. To save on water, the Cloudsurfer's yarn is colored using a dope dyeing process that requires 90% less water than standard techniques. On Running also ditched the plastic overlays and bumped up the shoe's total recycled content to 30%.
